I hope this finds you well.
We continue to hear of how this virus is impacting so many people. If that is you, or your loved ones, please be assured of our thoughts and prayers for you at this time.
We have been able to remain virus free, so far, at the House. There are 11 of us living on site and I have been quite determined to ensure that the virus is not brought on site.
The site continues to remain closed to all but deliveries. As such, one drive remains closed and access for deliveries only is via the other drive. Once the ‘new’ normal appears, everyone will obviously be welcome but just in these days, please adhere to the advice being given from government.
Further to my previous communications and in line with current government instructions, I can confirm that we will remain closed, until at least the 31st July 2020.
We still don’t know how long this will continue but we are continuing to review the situation and should there not be any change to advice received, we will give an update on Monday 29th June. Please check in to our website, Facebook page and Twitter account for updated information.
As you will appreciate, the House programme of Quiet Days and Retreats up to the end of June have been cancelled. If you have booked on to one of these events, we will be in touch shortly.
We do have other events throughout the year and currently these are still planned to go ahead. Please visit the above social media options to see what we have planned.
If you have a group or individual booking up to the 31st July:
You’ll understand that this closure is having a significant impact on our income. We’d like to invite you to prayerfully consider the following options regarding your booking:
If you need to contact St Katharine’s Parmoor to discuss your booking, please email us on firstname.lastname@example.org
If you have a booking later than the 31st July:
We would ask you not to contact us at this stage; we will have a further update on Monday 29th June. If you feel you need to cancel your booking before that time then our normal cancellation terms apply (including the loss of deposits and any liability for cancellation charges). Do contact us using the email address above if you want to do this, but we would strongly encourage you to wait until nearer the time of your visit before making a decision.
The way forward…
We are hopeful that we will be able to re-open in the relatively near future and have already given a lot of thought to how we work with any social-distancing guidelines that will most likely be in place. At the moment we are still running our planned retreats and quiet days later in the year (this will be reviewed as mentioned above).
We are still receiving enquiries and taking bookings (for groups and individuals) for later this year as well as for 2021 so please do get in contact to make tentative plans to visit/stay.
I will also be starting soon to put together a programme of retreats and quiet days for next year and details of these will be available sometime after the Summer.
Thank you for your understanding, support and prayers.
Be safe and keep well.
Thank you for a wonderful afternoon tea. ”

Thank you so much for everything that you and your team did for our family yesterday. Everything went so smoothly and everyone said what a wonderful venue St Katharine's was both in terms of food and venue.
Your team were absolutely outstanding and made the day very easy for us. ”
