The old coach house is used either as self-contained, self-catering accommodation as a whole or in part, or as extra accommodation for larger residential groups.

It currently has nine bedrooms, four of which are on the ground floor and therefore more accessible than the main house. Three of the first floor rooms have twin beds, so twelve people can sleep there comfortably. Most rooms have a hand basin and towels are provided. There is one toilet and two showers on the ground floor and two toilets and one shower upstairs. A communal lounge-cum-kitchen-cum-dining room is also on the ground floor, with a TV and wi-fi available. Refurbishment of St Joseph’s is planned and will include creation of a fully-accessible ground floor room with en-suite facilities.

All beds and mattresses were bought new, but following in Sue Ryder’s ethos, most of the furniture in St Katharine’s and St Joseph’s is pre-loved. This gives an individual and even quirky feel to each room.

Thank you for a wonderful afternoon tea.
